"Be Still. Throw away everything and be free. Reality is everywhere - and to find it, you must first disappear.”

H.W.L. Poonja

When was the last time you were still? Not just sitting chilling on the sofa watching a film or the latest binge-worthy series, but dropping everything and taking the time to be present. To be fully aware of your surroundings, the sounds, and the sensations you experience in every moment. Being present. Here’s a challenge for you; the next time you are out and about, moving in the world, or maybe at a time of transition from one task to the next, take a few moments to pause and be aware of everything you feel and experience. Let go of what you are doing and try to see reality in a new light…

Until next week, be safe and enjoy the trails...

The world’s first hammock hiking trail is open in Switzerland. Carry your bed on your back and hitch at specified spots with beautiful views and amenities, that sounds like an all-round winner…

If you want to leave the everyday behind and disappear, the mountains are not a bad choice, but not all mountains are created equal. Explore these gems…

Each week I update the Kings of the Trail playlist with a new selection – just like trail runs or hikes, you can be sure that it will be a varied and eclectic journey, but hopefully, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

This is not a new tune, but it’s new to me…so new, that in fact I heard it for the first time whilst writing the intro to this newsletter! It caught me with its chilled groove, very mellow yet upbeat and joyous, but the lyrics just chimed with the words I was writing. “Take your time, take it, no rush, to face realities”
